How it all started

We are two home bakers who originally started this website to share our love of baking with others. We are still passionate bakers and share recipes when we can. But most of our time is now dedicated to our love of ceramics and wood carving.

After a number of years honing our skills, we had ended up with a spare room full of wooden spoons and ceramics. With encouragement from friends and family, we decided to try and sell some of our products, both online and at craft markets. We attended our first market as traders in December 2016. It was on the top floor of a pub in Brixton at a Crafty Fox Market and we were just happy to sell a few things.

After getting a positive reaction from customers we decided to create a range of handmade kitchenware derived from our baking origins. Items produced by hand that are functional for daily life, and have a simplistic beauty inspired by classic Japanese and British studio pottery.

How it’s going

It’s still just the two of us! Covering everything from making to marketing. While working on this part-time we are constantly refining our work and expanding our range.

We now offer full dinner sets but still make our staple offerings that people really liked early on, including the salt cellars, spice spoons and salad servers. We also developed our own glazes, started gas firing some pieces, expanded our studio and started running workshops.

Thank you for stopping by and we hope you enjoy both our tableware and baking. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us.
